What is an AI second brain?
An AI second brain is a private bundle of seven things an AI reads before it answers: your memory, your documents, your data, your skills, your voice, your network and your goals. So it already knows your work, the people in it and what you are aiming for. With Pipaani you build it on your own device, and nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
What is Talk to your data?
Talk to your data is the core of Pipaani: a private AI model you download and run on your own laptop. Point it at your files, such as spreadsheets, contracts and reports, and ask questions in plain language. It answers from your documents, shows where each answer came from, and works with the internet switched off.
Is anything uploaded to the cloud?
No. Building your brain happens inside your device, and Talk to your data runs on your own machine. Your files are never sent to Pipaani’s servers, never stored by us, and never used to train any model.
How is Pipaani different from ChatGPT Memory, Claude or Gemini?
By September 2026 every major assistant remembers you, but on its own servers and locked to its own product. Pipaani is the memory you own: readable files on your device that work inside any assistant, move with you when you switch, include your real documents, and can run fully offline.
Can a company build a brain for every department?
Yes. Choose your industry and Pipaani opens a brain for each department, for example Quality, Procurement, Estimation and Maintenance in manufacturing, or Audit, Tax and Client servicing in a CA firm. Each brain learns its own team’s documents, and for companies it can run on your own servers so data never leaves your premises.
Which industries and professions are covered?
Pipaani ships 72 ready-made brains: 48 department brains across 12 industries (Manufacturing, EPC and construction, Pharma and labs, Hospitals and clinics, CA and accounting firms, Law firms, Real estate and developers, Retail and D2C, Schools and colleges, IT and services, Logistics and supply chain, Banks, NBFCs and insurers), and 24 brains for professionals, including chartered accountants, lawyers, doctors, engineers, founders, sales and HR professionals, students and teachers. You can also build a custom brain for any role.
Does it work with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?
Yes. Your brain is a portable set of plain files. Upload it to a ChatGPT Project, a Claude Project or a Gemini Gem and that assistant works as if it already knows you. Or skip the cloud entirely and use Talk to your data offline.
What computer do I need to run it offline?
Building a brain works in any modern device. Talk to your data runs a compact AI model locally, so it works best on a laptop from the last few years; more memory and a newer chip mean faster answers. Older machines still work, just more slowly.
Will it make things up?
Pipaani is built to be grounded. It answers from your own files, names the document it used, and tells you when the answer is not in your data instead of guessing. It does not search the internet unless you ask it to. Always check critical figures before acting on them.
Which file types can I add?
Digital PDFs, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx and .xls), CSV, plain text and Markdown (.txt and .md), and saved web pages (.html). Support for scanned PDFs and PowerPoint is coming next; for now, export slides as a PDF.
Does keeping data on my device help with the DPDP Act and client confidentiality?
Because your documents never leave your device or your servers, no third-party AI provider processes them, which makes data-protection and client-confidentiality conversations much simpler. This is not legal advice; confirm your own obligations with your advisor.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Pick your profession or industry, drop in a few files, answer a few plain questions and choose your skills. Your brain is ready in about ten minutes, with no code and no setup.
